On June 29, the Prime Minister emphasised that Pakistan needs to show again that it is serious about making its democratic institutions stronger. He also said that Parliament is very essential on the International Day of Parliamentarism because it can draft laws, watch over committees, and protect the rights of women and children.

He was glad that Articles 51 and 59 of the Constitution stipulated that women should have specific seats. This has allowed women to break the glass ceiling, to be chairs of committees, and to make just laws.

Shehbaz, provided the budgets for 2025 and 2026. He said that the government had spoken to all its coalition partners and all the members of the opposition. He thought it was nice to have spoken to all of them as they had all spoken similarly to each other and he thought that was good for democracy.

The President of Pakistan, Zardari, implored its citizens to get behind the rule of law. In March, 2025 when he addressed Parliament (live), beseeched the Members of Parliament to speak honestly, agree on a politics, and have one common spirit. He added that Pakistan needed a strong Parliament to make decisions, move the economy towards, and deal with the outside ‘world.’
Zardari also advised MPs to put their differences aside and work together to reform the government, make the courts fair, go digital, heal the economy, and bring the country back together.

More than ever, businesses are working together.
The leaders emphasised that this reaffirmation comes at a time when the constitution and the government are functioning together better than they ever have before. What to expect and what to do
Parliament has a lot of essential things to do,

Making the committees that watch over the executive branch stronger.

Getting kids and young adults to conduct internships and community service is a terrific method to do this.

All members of parliament should follow the same rules and do things the same way to promote confidence and order.

Making ensuring that each province and each person has a fair number of delegates, and that there are more legislators from each region.

The goal of these programs is to help politicians do their jobs better, earn people’s trust, and protect democracy.

To sum up
President Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz have made a strong stance by announcing they will back the parliament. They claim that Pakistan’s democracy needs more than simply elections; it needs legislatures that work and speak for the people.

Their shared purpose encourages openness, inclusivity, and active scrutiny, all of which are necessary to produce policies that last and bring the country together.
